Regarding the development of network and involvement in the independent energy producers' demand, and having relied on its achievement in different projects, the system and energy studies center has been active in the new arenas.Some capabilities of the center are as follows:  Defining and collecting required information for T/L networks & distribution grids  Performance of studies dealing with zero stage and preliminary design of the projects foreseen for construction of a network in the years ahead  Compiling information and establishing computerized banking information system  Working out and estimation of the load for prediction of both capacity increase and development of T/L network and transmission and distribution substations  Performance of load flow studies on the existing networks and estimation of the system losses  Performance of the load flow studies on the improvement of existing network, and assessment of the network development needs  Predicting the characteristics of new transmission and distribution substations, and defining the year of commissioning in future  Predicting transmission and distribution lines for the connection of new and existing substations  Performance of calculations for the single phase and 3-phase short circuits in the existing and in future networks  Utilizing the simulation software of system studies such as DIGSILENT, Cyme, PSCAD, PSS/E, etc.
